Staff profiles

Mandi
Mandi is one of our Senior Home Care Assistants. She supervises our team alongside Kellie. Mandi has worked at Helping Hand since 2010, and has completed her Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care.
Mandi will be undertaking additional training as soon as it is available again to be one of our Dementia Ambassadors.
Due to Mandi’s interest in palliative care, in 2021 she took part in the ECHO (Extension for Community Health Outcomes) training programme. This programme is used to widen access to palliative care knowledge and skills by supporting health and social care professionals who deliver high quality palliative care in settings other than in a hospice.

Kellie
Kellie is our other Senior Home Care Assistant and, alongside Mandi, supervises our team of staff to ensure high standards are continuously maintained.
She has worked at Helping Hand since 2016 and has completed her Level 2 and Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care.
In 2021 Kellie also trained in Assessing Care Certificates, and she is also keen to become one of our Dementia Ambassadors. Of the 2021 courses, Kellie found the ‘Safer Handling of Medication’ particularly useful, and she is looking forward to refreshing the Moving and Handling Training in 2022 with the whole team.

Simone
Simone is the Registered Manager, and joined Helping Hand in 2019. She came into the role with over twenty years management experience within the Education and Sales sectors.
With a BA Hons in Primary Education, Simone embraced new training challenges in 2021 by taking a Level 5 qualification ‘Leader in Adult Care’, which is due to be completed in September 2022. In February 2022 Simone became Helping Hand’s Safeguarding Ambassador.
Professional development, Person-Centred Care and the Well-being of our team and clients is always at the forefront of Helping Hand’s philosophy and it is Simone’s continued hope that everyone will benefit from the face-to-face training that is being put in place in 2022.
