All of our staff complete the Care Certificate qualification and are all trained and qualified in varied aspects of Health and Social Care. They have years of experience in delivering a high standard of care. Many of our staff are also trained in specialised areas of Health and Social Care.
Mandi is one of our Senior Home Care Assistants. She supervises and supports our team and visits new clients with Sue. Mandi has worked at Helping Hand since 2010, and has completed her Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care.
Mandi will be undertaking additional training as soon as it is available again to be one of our Dementia Ambassadors.
Recently, due to Mandi’s interest in palliative care, in she took part in the ECHO (Extension for Community Health Outcomes) training programme. This programme is used to widen access to palliative care knowledge and skills by supporting health and social care professionals who deliver high quality palliative care in settings other than in a hospice.
Sue is one of our Senior Home Care Assistants. She has worked in Adult Social Care for over 3 years and has a wealth of experience. She works together with Mandi supervising and supporting our team.
Sue will be enrolling on her Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care very soon, after recently completing her level 2. She has completed all of her mandatory refresher training and will be embarking on additional training in Dementia Awareness.
She will also become one of our Safeguarding Ambassadors working alongside Nicola and Charlotte, attending safeguarding meetings, dealing with any issues, reviewing and updating policies and be actively involved with developing our safeguarding action plan.
Charlotte is our Safeguarding Ambassador and she works alongside Nicola with any safeguarding meetings, issues, policies and has actively been involved with developing our safeguarding action plan. She has taken responsibility of working with families of vulnerable adults to follow the Herbert Protocol introduced by Lincolnshire police.
Charlotte really enjoys working within the Adult Social Care setting and she joined the Helping Hand Team in August 2021. She has a keen interest in Dementia and last year took part in the SORTED study which was conducted by Portsmouth University exploring the potential correlation between poor oral health and dementia.
Charlotte has completed Level 2 and is currently working through the Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care.
